Occupational Therapy

Occupational Therapy (OT) is a health field dedicated to empowering individuals to engage in occupations that they need or want to do in order to live their fullest life.  Occupational Therapists provide tools and strategies, and collaborate with you, to optimize engagement in life.  Occupational Therapists work with individuals across the lifespan to maximize health and wellness.

Simmin is an Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) with a M.S. in Occupational Therapy from San Jose State University. She has experience working in both mental health and physical disability settings, and has worked with clients from age 3 through age 101!  Simmin’s extensive background in bodywork and yoga informs her approach to Occupational Therapy.

Both OT and yoga empower you to fully engage with your highest potential, which is different in every moment, and in every stage of life.  As life’s circumstances present themselves, as you age, as your body encounters limitations, or your mind or heart is challenged, your interests and priorities change; an Occupational Therapist is a skilled practitioner who can assist you in adapting to new circumstances and priorities.
